Don McIntosh Memorial Award
To commemorate the work Don McIntosh carried out for persons with physical disabilities, Cheshire Homes of Saskatoon established a memorial fund with donations received from his relatives and friends.
This memorial fund, established in 1977, made available two awards of $250.00 each for two individuals from Saskatchewan with physical disabilities.
One award was given to a person demonstrating significant achievement in a particular field or activity. A second award was given to a person showing potential in working on personal and community goals. In 2005, instead of giving two awards of $250.00, a single award of $500.00 was established. This award is given to a person who meets either, or both, of the previous criteria.
